CathBee I don't know to whom to report pest animals, may be ACT Biosecurity: ACTBiosecurity@act.gov.au -
Perhaps best to report to Canberra Nature Park North: cnpnorth@act.gov.au and include this link Cervidae (family) (Deer (unknown species)) so they have an indication of the locality.

Cervidae (family)

@waltraud Yes, I understand. The animals were very shy and quickly hid themselves from me. I had initially thought I had disturbed a large kangaroo, but then I caught a flash of them moving in profile: one large animal with antlers, and two without antlers following. They quickly secreted themselves again, but they make a lot of noise moving about in the undergrowth. There was no opportunity to take photographs. I merely wish to assist the ACT Government with protecting the nature reserve from feral deer. Is there a better way to report this?

CathBee this is a hard one to confirm for me as a moderator because there is no photo no comment no nothing. Sambar deer was recorded on Mts Majura / Ainslie; the indications were: feces, damage to vegetation, traces and antlers and spotting but unfortunately no photographic record; first sightings (without photographic record) were on the east slope - animals seem to be shy.
