Distribution and Ecology

Occurs in WA, NT, Cape York Peninsula, , central eastern Qld. and southwards to south-eastern Qld. 
Endemic to Australia, occurs in the wet tropics bio-region NE. Qld.. 
Altitudinal range from sea level to 750 m.
Grows as an under-storey tree in lowland and upland rain forest on a variety of sites but often near the rain forest margins.
