The antennae of the Long-nosed Lycid Beetle display clear sexual dimorphism.The differences between their antennae are characterized by the following shapes:
Males: Possess distinctly serrated (saw-toothed) antennae. The individual segments project outward dramatically, creating a series of sharp, jagged points along the length of the antenna
Females: Possess much simpler, smoother, or weakly saw-toothed antennae. They lack the exaggerated, wide serrated points seen in males, appearing more uniform or rod-like.
Size: Females are noticeably larger and broader than males (females average around 24mm long, while males average around 18mm long
