Arrhenia chlorocyanea

The fruitbody is a mushroom with a cap atop a central stem. The smooth, greyish blue to greyish-green cap may grow to 3 centimetres in diameter. It is depressed in the centre and has radial striations towards the edge. The gill colour is similar to that of the cap surface or is a little whiteish. The stem may be up to 3 centimetres long and is smooth and of the same colour as the cap surface.

There is neither a partial nor a universal veil.

Spore print: white.  

The fruitbodies grow on soil and this species seems to be reported mostly from North America and Europe.

Look-alikes

There is probably no mistaking this species when specimens are in prime condition. Otherwise it could be possible to think they belong to the genus Hygrocybe.
