Notoncus hickmani (Yellow Epaulet Ant)


Notoncus hickmani is not often recorded in the ACT region. It is unobtrusive and tends to forage singly. It is most commonly seen on tree trunks. Like its sister species in the genus Notoncus, while it is probably active throughout the year it is most often seen in the colder months.
