I only noticed this because of what looked like a bit of rubbish on the flower stem. It does seem to have legs. Other than that, I have no idea what it is. Maybe a bag moth? Maybe a weevil?
While fossicking through the beetles I came across a case bearing leaf beetle which seems to be something like the above illustrations. Cryptocephalinae (sub-family).
