User's notes

I have no idea what it is- couldnt match it to any in field guide. Looks like a sea anenome with pimples and in shape. A pinkish colour. Found on its lonesome beneath tree roots on creek bank. Appears to have a hole

Possibly an immature puffball (in either Bovista or Lycoperdon) that something has chewed.
