We are close to releasing an important update for the mobile app which will resolve the following known issues:

  • Some iOS devices may get stuck on the species name ID screen when clicking theĀ  "NEXT" button
  • Some attribute values may not come through with uploaded sightings
  • Navigation bug when recording audio sightings and clicking back button

Thanks for your patience - please keep an eye out for this important update which will drop over the next few days.

I have been having issues uploading my sightings using iPhone. It seems to get stuck on the 'working on it' stage. I have left it going for hours and didn't get the sorry screen. Hopefully the update will help. Will the update be automatic?

Hi @blacksheep - yep this known issue will be resolved as part of the update. We apologise for the inconvenience.

The update is just about to hit the app store(s) and may be live later today - it will definitely be live before the spring silly season!

I updated my app today after some weird experiences over the last couple of weeks and happy to report that all is back to normal and functioning well. As always thanks to techs, strategists and IT expertise of the team. Also thanks to all moderators. Seriously do not know how you manage this load, especially as based on your bios, several of you are multi tasking, researching, studying and working etc etc. Love your work.
