I’ve spent some time watching platypus at Bombala and Dalgety (but didn’t put in a report since they’re common there). It was holding its place in the current. It ducked and resurfaced (with bubbles) four or five times in the same area.
I was tipped off to its whereabouts after a review of the Gundagai River Campground on Trip advisor which included a much better photo.
