Unemerged Insects sightings

Posted by Amata

Here observations of insects that have not yet revealed their adult form (e.g. caterpillars, larvae, pupae) can be compiled, and then once they have emerged into their adult form, to which they will plausibly be identifiable, this will be descripted into citizen science analysation. If a species is readily known (e.g. Pieris rapae caterpillar) it can still go here if there is still not complete certainty that it is that. This is to be an exemplar of the power of the community in their understandings and careful approaches to unknown species, and how this all relays into the power of citizen science.
