A mass of tadpoles writhing in a fast-drying pool of water that had been there for a few months due to a very wet winter.
Multiple frog species had been present, although I am not sure which of those species the tadpoles were of
Unable to confirm at this stage. Tadpoles are not easy to id, unless more detail is shown or other supporting information is available. They could be Crinia signifera?
Crinia signifera was the most common species there from memory. I did take a few recordings on one/some of my weekly visits there and I should have notes somewhere. I think L.Tasmeniensis was also present. I will dig around and try and locate the recording and get back to you. Chances are if there were just 2 or 3 species in this puddle and hundreds of tadpoles, there is a tadpole of that species.
