Tough to ID but agree it's a cowfish/boxfish (Ostraciidae or Aracanidae). If I had to take a punt I'd go for Tetrasomus gibbosus (humpback turret fish) because of the heavy mainly hexagonal pattern.

Supposed to be common but I've never seen a live one (or even a whole dead one) in the water, assuming I was right on the species.
