Personally identified it as a Dipodium roseum
Treescape (within 10m): Casuarina, Ironbark, and stringy bark.
Geography: On top of a ridge, south facing side.
Stem Height: 65cm
Stem Circumference: 10mm
Flowers about the same size as a 5 cent coin.
Hi Nick - D. roseum and D. punctatum are very close. According to Jones (1988) D. punctatum have '..a sparse central band of hairs extending from the callas to the apex.'; this is visible in your shots. I posted some D.roseum yesterday for you to compare.
