Some Oecophoridae and Tineidae live in cases up to 1 cm long covered in detritus. To get an ID, you would have to take it into protective custody to see what may come out in due course.
Okay. It was in the park just behind my street, on the trunk of a Eucalyptus, but I'm not sure what I should feed it if I take it into protective custody. Might also have been a bit high for me to reach but will check it out tomorrow.
It must have been alive as I couldn't find it this afternoon. However, it was very small and I was tired after along day so will check again in coming days.
