User's notes

Around the area where I was photographing the Crested Pigeons I also saw this fungus. This one was probably 20 cm across at most. This fungus was growing on the eastern side of a brittle bark, although it was in shade when I photographed it. This one seemed to be in good condition.

It is indeed in very good condition. The thin, spore-bearing pored layer at the bottom looks to be largely untouched by chewing invertebrates.
