User's notes

Cortinarius kioloensis The fruit body has a 4.5 cm cap wide dark violet cap that is convex and becomes flattish as it matures. The cap surface is dry and covered with fine scales. The flesh is dark purple to black. Gills are wide, dark, sinuate. Spores violet. Stipe is 14cm x 1cm thick at the bulbous base. The entire fruit body has a very strong overpowering odour which does not appear to diminish with age. Habitat - earth
