Lentinus arcularius
This is a funnel shaped fungus on a central stem and easy to recognize due to its coffin shaped pores and minutely fringed cap margin. Generally it is gregarious and found on old logs and decaying wood in a variety of habitats.
Teresa can you do this please as all the changes I've tried to put through don't happen!! I sent Fiona a step by step process I was taking as I had the same problem with Budawang and she said I was following the correct proceedure. I just have to try and clear the alerts in my in box and at the same time dealing with the material I've been collecting here so will get back to it next week when I will try and make time. Unfortunately collected specimens don't wait to be processed and if I don't collect when they are around I'll have to wait till next year to collect and process the data.
