A great observation of a Gippsland Water Dragon preying on what appears to be an introduced Black Rat. It's a valuable observation (I've never heard of a dragon preying successfully on a decent sized rat before), well documented with this photograph.
Can you tell us anything more about this sighting? e.g did you witness the chase/capture and was the rat still wriggling?
