There are two records of this species, both photographed on the same day. They are the first records for this group of this species. This species is one of the well known fire responsive fungi

Hi Pam,
Couldnt find the patch that had this fungus but have a closeup of the image that may prove helpful.
They are VERY small

You are correct they are very small and yes they are the Anthracobia muelleri, a fire responsive fungus. Unfortunately I've noticed they are not on our species list. I'll rectify this when I get home tonight. Fantastic record! Many thanks for going back an getting this image.
