3 metres up tree trunk. Total width 150 mm, total height 200 mm.

An interesting example of this species. The insects absolutely love this fungus and you can see by the darker markings on the underside that they are well on the way to making a meal of this group. When this fungus is old it falls off the tree and you can find it on the ground looking like a piece of styrofoam because of the colour, texture and all the holes and tunnels made by the insects.
