Really smelly fungi growing from the mulch.

Often found in wood mulch. Aseroe rubra is one of the first native fungus to be formally classified in 1792. It is a sapotroph which means it is a decomposer so perfectly good for returning nutrients to the soil. The sporebody will die off as quickly as it appears.
