You've done good work with your images in capturing diagnostic characteristics of this species. Though I would have liked to see an image of the stipe (stem)! You've shown that the flesh of the fungus does not change colour; that the flesh is white; the tubes are very short and the pores and tubes are concolourous (the same colour) a pale creamy tan/brown; that the surface of the fungus is smooth and dry. From this I feel this belongs to the genus Boletus, though no idea of the species name or even if it's been given one yet. I've put it under 'Bolete' as there is not a entry for Boletus in the species list. I'll try and add it!!

Thank you Pam. I can get an image of the stipe if you would like.

If that's not too much trouble that would be great as it will give us more complete information. Thanks again.

Will do that this afternoon. I also included another photo of the fungi you couldn't identify because they were too mature. I wasn't sure if this would automatically come up as it was an edited post rather than an added sighting. The fungi looked like rolled up rubber. You said it was an agaric.

Hope this sheds some light Pam. Found a few other new fungi looking for these. Will post them later as I am now off to work. I do worry that I might just be posting different stages of the same fungi though. It seems a bit weird to have so many different ones in the one area.
