User's notes
This fungi looked exactly like an overgrown cauliflower, it even felt like it and was roughly the size of a small one as well. It was white inside and had minimal stalk. It unfortunately came away from the ground as I was trying to expose more so I suspect the stalk didn't extend much past the bottom branches.

Great to see these 'coral' fungi appearing. They are mycorrhizal with one or more of the surrounding plants. Yes, I agree about the 'cauliflower' look and those flattened tips to the branches that give it this look, plus the colour and the large, dense formation are some of the characteristics that help with its identification. It's always exciting to see some of these fungi.
