User's notes
Dark brownish/red oyster shaped fungus, with fine tan intermittent stripes. It was approx. 7 cms across and 6 cms high. Creamy coloured spores underneath that felt spongy like wet bread. It bruised pale pink/purple slowly. The stem was orange. It was found emerging from the base of a River Peppermint Gum.
