A solid green/blue fungus with a slight trumpet form. White in the centre and the surrounding colour not uniform. A slight green and white stripe pattern around the edge. 9 cms across and standing 10 cms high. Creamy coloured gills with pristine white flakey stalk which was 2 cms wide.
I call this a Russula with some uncertainty because I don’t know of a Russula with a flaky stem. Furthermore, the flakiness doesn’t appear to be the result of damage or weathering. Otherwise the overall stature, the gills and the cap colour & marginal striation fit Russula.
