User's notes

Smallish ant, approx. 2 mms in length. Body is the colour of honey with abdomen being gold. They seem to shine gold in the sun. Covered in hairs/prickles with two distinctive black thorns pointing towards the abdomen. They have golden 'pearls' mostly along the spine but I have noticed them on other parts as well, in varying sizes. Many nests scattered at the base of trees and independently on the ground. Seemingly non-aggressive. A very beautiful ant.
