Attracted to a light outside the house.

The wing pattern matches A. atripalpis better; it seems to have the heavy 3-combed antennae of that species, and the time of year is just right (A. labyrinthicus generally flies in summer)

Looking at the two species closely, I must admit it is my mistake. This moth has a wing pattern similar to A labyrinthicus, but is clearly identical to A. atripalpis. Plus of course I photographed this moth in May not in the summer months. With my low skills in identifying moths I am happy to settle with A. atripalpis.
