User's notes
A small group of about five to ten birds feeding high up in Forrest Red Gums. Striated Pardalotes are occasional visitors to our block.

Can't be absolutely certain given the angle and light, but that looks like a yellow wing spot, which would make this subspecies striatus, from Tasmania, here to over-winter.

Harvey, I have cropped the second image and added it as a third to show that part of the wing more clearly. There is a yellow spot there as you suggested. Just after seeing this bird there was a flock of Silvereyes, which are also a subspecies from Tasmania in the same patch of bush. Perhaps these two species travel together in their migration to the mainland.
