I am not 100% sure of the ID.
In this patch they are almost all growing with a multi trunked habit

@Plants - is the typical habit this multi-trunk form? Or possibly an effect of the regrowth setting?

We saw this tree on our walk.
Multiple trunks like this are usually a sign of past cutting down of a tree and subsequent suckering, or possibly being eaten off regularly by stock.
