What a delightful image of these delicate little black spored saprotrophic (decomposer) fungi. The genera Coprinus was split into four genera: Coprinus, Coprinopsis, Coprinellus and Parasola. It is often difficult to separate some of these from a photo so have just put it in Coprinus sp. on the understanding that it mat in fact be one of the other genera!!
