There were more of these tiny ant-like flies with a black spot on each wing on the two piles of dung.

Kylie you may have also noticed that when walking this fly swings it wings like someone swinging the paddles when rowing a boat

Thanks Michael. Honestly they were so tiny I could only see them when they were on the dung, grass or ground; when they flew it was just a black dot moving in the air!
