Never seen a moth like this one before. Not photogenic though. Deep in the grass and then just flocked away. It was rapidly flapping its wings in the grass otherwise I would not have noticed it. Yes, I believe you are correct. A male, the famales are distinctly different in appearance (ie a sexually dimorphis species).
