User's notes

There were just a few of these smaller-flowered, delicate greenhoods among a number of nodding greenhoods. I'm wondering if it is possible they are black-striped greenhoods?

These greenhoods were very small, not tall? And their hood was delicate, almost translucent. Hard to see and find

Bunochilus (Pterostylis) longifolius Labellum too hairy for B. melagrammus

No worries at all, these “tall greenhoods” aren’t necessarily all that tall. It more refers to a group of similar looking species I think (like B.umbrinus and B.Montanus in Canberra).

Ok, thank you - the wording is misleading. I went on a search for images for tall greenhoods - I'm still a bit confused, because the 'hoods' on these orchids were very delicate, and all were translucent, whereas the descriptor for the tall greenhoods indicated only semi-transparency? It seems as though the labellum hairiness is the defining factor, rather than colour/lack of colour?
