You're probably right @Harrisi , although I can't see the snout clearly as it's in shadow. Definitely looks like a brown snake (Pseudonaja sp.) though. Good shots of a nicely patterned specimen saying "no closer mate!" in the second shot.

It's OK Patrick, was in car with very long lens. Showed this to a couple of experts (not involved in NatureMapr or I-Nats) who confirmed ID...
