Its kind of all over, but only in this location is there huge lots of it and not much else.

Not possible to identify to species from this photo alone. More likely to be A nodosa, as that is more common in the area, but also A nitida. These are all closely related and often hard to distinguish without having the physical specimen

Some things to photograph to tell between nodosa-scabra-nitida
leaf sheaths mostly narrower in scabra (2-5 mm) than nitida-nodosa (4.5-9 mm)
leaf blades mostly narrower in scabra (0.6-1.2 mm) than nitida-nodosa (1-3 mm)
useful to have a ruler to show dimensions
Flowerheads somewhat contracted/usually denser (but open at anthesis) and stem nodes mostly concealed by the sheaths in nitida
Flowerheads usually sparse and stem nodes exposed in nodosa
But there are a lot of specimens in herbaria which can't be assigned to a particular species due to the overlap in features
