The sound of all the cicadas is deafening down by the river. This guy was on the ground so I relocated him to a tree.

lucky you. I was just about to take a photo of one at Wonga Wetlands this morning when a Little Friarbird swooped in and grabbed it, pulled it apart and et it!

He was pretty slow and on the ground, I picked him up and put him on the tree. Made it a lot easier to get a decent photo.
