User's notes

Collared Sparrowhawk? Some very annoyed Cockies flushed this bird out of a very tall gum and then one Cockie chased it out of lower trees, across the water, and into more distant tree cover!

I reckon goshawk

I'm only going by the size compared to the cockie - and the fact that the cockie was able to chase it!

From memory male goshawks can be a similar size to female sparrowhawk (I might be wrong). The rounded tail makes me think goshawk, but I’m not confident

It was a fleeting sighting. Lucky to get any photo at all. Happy to leave it as inconclusive.

I’ll leave it as accipiter sp. though it is probably a goshawk
