User's notes

As stated with the other sighting we have different Varieties and obviously are unsure which variety is which the first had Narrow Lance shaped leaves this one still has narrow leaves but these are wider than the previous plant the Flowers are almost identical as are the flower pods or buds, the only real difference is the leaf, May be some one can Clarify which is the true persoonia Bargoenisis?

Leaves too wide.
More likely one of the Persoonia mollis subspecies.

Hi, this appears to be one of the many P. mollis subspecies. Certainly not P. bargoensis. NB that Persoonias hybridise readily, so you'll sometimes get a plant with intermediate characteristics. It's usually feasible to work out what the hybrid is. I have seen P. bargoensis x hirsuta at Douglas Park in a population with intermediates of both, plus pure forms of both. But that site was the only time of seen this combination, which isn't surprising given they're both rare and threatened, so the potential for them to co-occur is also rare.

thank you both we still have no confirmation of the previous posted plant, We have a lot of these in the area,
Looking on Google it states P.Mollis is also an endangered species is this Correct ? we must be lucky to have so many growing here

Ther are several subspecies of P. mollis, and not all of them are rare.

Most of the many P. mollis subspecies aren't rare or threatened - they're usually just local to regional variants, and some of them intergrade, which makes for more fun... But there are two that are threatened: maxima and revoluta. The former is extremely range-restricted (northern Sydney), the second is mostly in the Highlands with one record near Thirlmere (not recently checked for accuracy).

Best to look at species profiles on the DPE website e.g https://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/threatenedSpeciesApp/profile.aspx?id=10592
or else https://plantnet.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/NSWfl.pl?page=nswfl&lvl=sp&name=Persoonia~bargoensis

Sadly, neither are necessarily 100% accurate or up-to-date due to underfunding of both agencies, but they're still a good place to start.
