User's notes

Three widely separated groupings of these creatures were seen across the flats during low tide as, this being the third one. They had the appearance of centipedes, presumably some aquatic form. They were all in very shallow pools of water and typically within close proximity to each other but with no interaction.

What a great sighting Tim. I have never seen anything like these before. I'm keen to see what they are identified as.

Dumb question: are these like "beach worms" that fisherman catch by luring them out of the sand with pieces of fish in stockings and the like? Their head looks a lot like what I know as a "beach worm"?

I really don't know @Aaron but maybe the 'beach worms' are more like sighting 4485044? These creatures were very active within the shallow pools, constantly on the move and every now and then would dig their front ends into the sand briefly as though searching for prey.

I reckon these are what my old man used to catch for bait.
