Thanks Renee a near 10 year study of Little Eagles is on going - trackers that we placed on birds many years ago have mainly now fallen off (a design feature) so we are very interested in any sightings and particularly close up like yours where there is a chance that we can identify the bird.

The same individual bird was hanging out in this exact spot the day before your record when I was there. It was feeding on something on the ground among some fallen timber and flew up into one of the willows giving great views like it looks like you had. So nice to see it was still there.
