I don't think this is a Senecio, it was a woody shrub of some kind..

I had a similar query about a plant I recorded from broulee island. Jackie miles confirmed it to me as S.linearifolius, which is a large species that is often woody.

The leaves do not much match, but it is apparently an exposed site. Without a scale, it is someimes hard to ID a plant.

The bushes were about 1.2m high and were common along roadsides and in exposed areas like the top of headlands in Mimosa Rocks National Park.

Yeah I think so. They can get pretty big and woody. I don't really see what else it would be
