User's notes

Whilst these images are not very pleasant, they are provided for NatureMapr’s citizen science records. The turtle’s remains were sighted against a breakwater as the tide receded. The turtle shell was less than 600mm length and there was no obvious marine growth on the remains so presumably the turtle wasn’t very old. There were no obvious signs of trauma that might have led to the turtle’s death however, birds had been at the carcass, and it wasn’t complete. Additional close-up details are provided in following sighting 4535070 which might help NatureMapr’s experts identify a likely cause of death.
