I was thinking that, like this specimen, A. flava generally has a greater shade contrast between the basal half and marginal half of of the forewing than A. lyona has.
After studying all the images on BOLD, in general the line past the white cell spot is straighter in lyona as is the top half of the next line, particularly near the costa. I will email you a sketched up image you may forward to Ian.
