User's notes

Group of Toadstools, "Mushroom like" in colour and appearance and size, growing on grassy Nature Strip, associated with Exotic grasses and Planted Oak tree (note Acorns in pics for size ). May need a Warning (?) not to collect as " edible" given superficial similarity to Mushroom species.

MAX for mushrooms like this to be identified, a moderator needs to see the gills and stem, so pick one and take a pic of the underside and a side on view.

Hi Barb, Yes I did think of that, but the Toadstool fruiting bodies need another day or so to show up the Gill & Stem structure clearly, as they are still too immature. Will addd another pic in a day or so. Nb I notice that the GPS coordinates from my phone are incorrect by about 30 m. I will amend/ edit that if possible. Location Corrected.

Hi @MAX and @abread111, thank you both for good points.

These are almost certainly an Agaricus species, but as Barb has noted, we will definitely need shots of the gills and stipe to identify for certain. In future, these can be taken at any stage - there are mature mushrooms here as well. A few things about these make them likely to be in section Xanthodermatei, which is toxic (though not deadly).
