User's notes
Apparent that this keelback was actively hunting underwater, including under rocks sloping into the water,
in this habitat presumably for frogs.
It checked most of the cracks, crevices and rocks' overhangs in the creek as it moved downstream.
Particularly yellow form, with a grey head;
more yellow over most of the body as I've seen more like this around Mossman area,
than the more brown and grey where I've seen them outside this Mossman area.
(A local or regional form perhaps?
eg. similar form to David White's 2020 iNat sighting a bit further north in Forest Creek ( https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/66354266 ) .
Mossman Gorge, in the first creek below and crossed by the raised walkway,
from where i took these two photos with a some zoom lens function.
This first crossed creek usually keeps flowing all year round except in very dry times,
(the first creek just in from where the walking tracks start from the shuttle bus turning circle) .
