This appears to be the southernmost record of this species according to the ALA; the nearest record is from Kiama.

Congratulations @VanceLawrence , what an interesting record. The upperside blue colour of the wings means your butterfly is a male; the female has different colours and markings on the upperside of the wings.

Thanks a lot @SuziBond ! I use NatureMapr in my role in Scouting, trying to get the older youth to use it on scouting activities, and for STEM and Environment badge work. Good to get the occassional more "interesting" sighting to stir up some enthusiasm amongst the Scouts, Venturers and Rovers.
