Cheese Trees (Glochidion fernandi), are glossy leaved (photos 2 & 4), and cast a lovely green shade on a Sunny day (photo 1). The featured trees are a cluster growing next to a gully which only flows after heavy rains. Their common name derives from the shape of their seed pods which are like little bell cheeses (photo 3), The seeds are a vivid scarlet (as seen at the far LHS, approx. 2/3 from the bottom, in photo 3, also mid photo 2). The bark is narrowly furrowed as seen in photo 5, and it will sucker in the right conditions (high moisture levels preferred). It is endemic to the Clarence Valley, amongst other places, and very common on this property. I believe these to be the same species as those of Sighting 4662442.
