This is a smooth barked gum which I’ve only seen in this area of a few hectares at Copmanhurst NSW North Coast. These pictures were taken in January after it had shed much of its smooth grey bark leaving this pale yellowy-tan skin underneath . Photo 1 gives a general view of the tree as a whole, and its leaves are the pale grey-green sickle shaped leaves at the very top of the photo on the left. Those leaves only occupy the top 1/6th of the picture,; there are more at the centre, just above the halfway mark. (Photo 5 is an attempt to mark out the foliage that does not belong to this tree, in case it helps). Photo 2 focuses on the trunks (there may be 2 trees, but my impression was that it was all 1 tree.) Photos 3 & 4 were my best attempts at getting some clarity on the foliage.
