Wonderful indigenous bee gathering pollen from, pollinating and perhaps nectar from, flowers of this tree Kayea larnachiana, –a small individual reproductively–mature healthy example of these trees . https://naturemapr.org/sightings/4668863 Mossman Gorge, public short loop track last section before it meets the raised walkway of the main track. 2014 October 26th 12:20 – 12:23 pm . (In old BowerBird –shut down nowadays– was where I first added this sighting of this tree with this Nomiine bee Mellitidia tomentifera—a halictid bee— identified by Bernhard Jacobi therein – thanks heaps for this identification for me – photographs ).
