User's notes
I observed the two birds, which both appeared healthy, from about 1020 to 1045. They kept mainly in the centre of the beach above the wave reach, although in the moist sand. They both appeared to be feeding by jabbing their beaks into the sand but I could not see if they obtained any food. They were constantly moving, jabbing, and then moving again. There was nobody else on the beach but they didn’t move to the far end of the sand. The two birds had tags of W7 and T9, which may be Birdlife tags. Out of the two, W7 was the one that approached closest to me, which was still about 20 metres distance. T9 mainly stayed on the otherside of W7 away from me. I left them to move onto the rocks and while I was on the rocks, a couple and then a single male moved separately onto the beach but did not stay there for long. When I returned to the beach at about 1120 all the people had been gone for a while but the plovers were no longer visible. I was unsure if the people on the beach had disturbed the plovers or if they had ceased moving and were hard to see.
